If you have been working with speciality beers in Finland for a bit longer, Ronald de Waal is a well known caracter. The Flying Dutchman was already in the nineties one of the most influential persons in the Finnish beer scene and he has been in the forefront in developing the Finnish beer culture.

Ronald has been brewing quality beers already for over 25 years in Finland, Belgium and in Holland. His beers are known for – apart from the super long names – great quality, pleasant and balanced hoppiness and innovative taste profiles. The balance and drinkability are in the epicenter of his products, making these beers both interesting and tasty, but also easy and pleasant to drink. The motto of The Flying Dutchman describes his work (and him) perfectly: Hoppiness is a way of life!

We are fortunate to have Ronald in our team as well, he is working with Brew Seeker now as Product Manager – still keeping his brewery business going at the same time.
