Marston’s (Carlsberg Britvic)

Marston’s is a highly respected and traditional brewery that has been shaping beer history in Burton-upon-Trent, England, since 1834.
Burton is renowned for the quality of its water and is often considered the spiritual home of British brewing.

Over the years, Marston’s acquired numerous breweries and grew into one of the largest players in the UK brewing industry.

In 2020, Marston’s joined forces with Carlsberg’s UK division, and in 2024, it sold its remaining stake to Carlsberg. In January 2025, Carlsberg UK merged with Britvic, a company especially known for its non-alcoholic beverages. The new company is now called Carlsberg Britvic.
